These delicious Spekulatius balls are perfect for the Advent season and are made in a flash. With crispy Spekulatius cookies and creamy chocolate ganache, they are the ideal dessert or gift for any Christmas party!
Ingredients:
• 300 g Spekulatius cookies
• 200 g Milk chocolate coating
• 100 ml Whipped cream
• 1 pinch of cinnamon
• 200 g Dark chocolate coating
Preparation:
1. Crush the speculatius biscuits with a rolling pin in a freezer bag. Set aside 50g of the crumbs for decoration. 2. Chop the milk chocolate coating into small pieces. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan, stirring until boiling. Remove the pan from the heat and add the chopped chocolate. Stir well until a creamy ganache forms. 3. Pour the ganache into a bowl and add the speculatius biscuits and a pinch of cinnamon. Mix thoroughly with a spoon. Place the mixture in the freezer for about 5 minutes to firm up and make it easier to shape. 4. Meanwhile, melt the dark chocolate coating over a pan of simmering water. 5. Form the cooled mixture into small balls and place them on a piece of parchment paper. Dip each ball into the melted dark chocolate coating and decorate with the remaining speculatius crumbs.
