Chocolate Marble Banana Bread
Ingredients
• 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp baking soda
• ¼ tsp salt
• 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1½ cups)
• ½ cup (100g) sugar
• ½ cup (100g) brown sugar
• ½ cup (120ml) melted butter or vegetable oil
• 2 large eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 3 tbsp (20g) cocoa powder
• 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
Mash ripe bananas in a bowl and mix with melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Combine wet and dry ingredients just until mixed. Do not overmix.
Scoop out about 1 cup of the batter into another bowl and stir in cocoa powder and milk to form the chocolate batter.
Spoon both plain and chocolate batters alternately into a greased loaf pan, then use a knife or skewer to swirl lightly for a marbled effect.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 45–55 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack
