Jello Whipped Cream Dessert

Description

Jello Whipped Cream Dessert

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Chill Time: 2–3 hours

Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz) package flavored gelatin (any color/flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 oz whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip), thawed
  • Optional garnishes: fresh berries, mint leaves, grated chocolate

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, stir the gelatin powder into 1 cup boiling water until completely dissolved.
  2. Add 1 cup cold water, stir to combine, then transfer to the refrigerator. Chill 40–60 minutes or until the mixture is slightly set (jelly-thick but still pourable).
  3. Remove from fridge. Stir in sweetened condensed milk until the mixture is smooth and uniform in color.
  4. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until no streaks remain, taking care not to deflate the whipped cream.
  5. Pour into a 9×9 inch dish or individual serving glasses and smooth the top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate at least 2–3 hours, or until fully set.
  7. Before serving, garnish with fresh berries, mint leaves, or grated chocolate as desired.

Serving Suggestions

Serve chilled by itself or alongside vanilla wafers, pound cake slices, or fresh fruit salad.

Notes

  • Choose complementary Jello and garnish flavors (e.g., strawberry gelatin with fresh strawberries).
  • For a lighter version, substitute half the sweetened condensed milk with plain Greek yogurt.
  • Individual portions look elegant when layered in clear glasses.
