The 4 Types of People Who Shouldn’t Eat Cabbage

 

Cabbage is nutritious and easy to prepare, but it can cause health problems for some people. Here’s who should be wary:


1. People with thyroid disorders

  • Cabbage contains   goitrin  , which can interfere with thyroid function and cause swelling of the gland.

  • Those suffering   from goiter or thyroid problems   should limit their consumption of cabbage.

  • Tip:   Soak the cabbage leaves in salted water for 10-15 minutes, then chop them finely to reduce the goiter before eating.
