An interesting question is raised by a citizen in the group I See You Traffic Police Varna (WITHOUT BAS)
"I WANT TO ASK, DID THEY STOP THE CAR BECAUSE OF A FIRE EXTINGUISHER!?" he writes.

Here are the comments:
If they decide to and then in court if you don't like something.
It is required that you have everything in the first aid kit and a fire extinguisher. OXYGEN WATER 200 ml. within the EXPIRY DATE IS A MUST ALSO (the little things)!!!
They'll stop it from Traffic if you don't have a fire extinguisher.
At least they stopped my car and then towed it.
Last week I was stopped for a check, my fire extinguisher had expired and they wrote me a 20 leva ticket...
They stopped me too, I got away with a ticket.
Just by reading the comments, you understand why there are so many accidents every day and why there are so many oligophrenic people on the roads. So far, there is not one who has even mentioned the ZDvP and the regulation on technical fitness, let alone quoted it. How do you pass exams, how do you become drivers?!…Author, the answer to the question is contained in regulation H-32. Just read it. As well as Art. 139 of the ZDvP.

Many drivers wonder if it is mandatory to have a fire extinguisher, especially if the car is new, leased, or driven mainly in the city. The truth is simple: you can't drive without a car fire extinguisher, regardless of the make, age, or model of the car.
What does the law say?
Regulation No. Iz-41/2009 stipulates that every vehicle must be equipped with a fire extinguisher
This includes: cars, vans, forklifts, even some trailers
What happens during a traffic police check?
If a fire extinguisher is missing or expired during inspection, the fine is:
from 50 to 150 BGN according to Art. 183 of the VAT Act
even a temporary suspension from driving is possible if there are other violations
